OUR STORY
A magazine for the useful in-between.
Business Vogue began in 2021, when founder Clara Wynn grew tired of choosing between fast news and dense academic papers. She wanted a place for the middle distance: thoughtful enough to respect evidence, readable enough to enjoy on a train, and honest enough to admit when an idea was still unfinished.
Our mission is to make curiosity practical. We write about science, culture, travel, design and everyday systems, looking for the human decisions inside large subjects. Our goal is not to tell readers what to think. It is to give them better questions, useful vocabulary and a small next step they can actually try.
What we aim to do
- Publish clear, independent features with transparent sources.
- Make complex subjects welcoming without making them shallow.
- Give overlooked local experiments a wider audience.
- Build a calm reading space with no panic-driven publishing schedule.
The small team
Clara Wynn is founder and editor. Mateo Singh, science editor, checks claims and asks wonderfully inconvenient questions. June Okafor shapes visual stories and accessibility. Arthur Bell manages partnerships and reader correspondence. We also work with a changing circle of photographers, researchers and community contributors.
By the numbers
Since launch, we have published 186 features, worked with contributors in 14 countries, and hosted 32 reader workshops. More than 4,000 people have shared a story with someone else. Those numbers are modest by internet standards, which is exactly why we like them: each represents a real conversation rather than an anonymous rush.
We are still learning how to balance ambition with attention. Sometimes a story takes longer than planned; sometimes a reader corrects our assumptions. We consider both signs of a healthy publication.
